A few weeks ago, Jane’s boyfriend (Matt) went sailing at ‘Alton Water’ and whilst he was there he spoke to them about Billie Box’s products and services. They didn’t need any more containers, however they did say that they thought the Woolverstone Project were looking to buy a shipping container for storage.
Woolverstone Project has been offering sailing and sailing lessons for the disabled for 20 years at Alton Water and during the summer months at Woolverstone sailing club on the River Orwell. The RYA Sailability, the Royal Harwich Yacht Club, the Royal Hospital School and Rotary sponsor the project and many volunteers raise funds for the charity too.
These volunteers are also on hand to take the sailors out on the water, help the sailors in and out of the dinghies and to provide refreshments during the sessions.
So when Jane Billing spoke to the Woolverstone project organisers about buying a container, Jane realised that being a charity they wanted an extremely good price. Jane offered the best price and they agreed to buy the container from her. Jane also visited the site to ensure the container would be delivered and positioned where they wanted it to be. They requested a specific delivery time and Jane met their needs.
